White Canyon Uranium

This site is a revival blog covering the Australian Energy and Resources industry. This was previously the corporate site for White Canyon Uranium.

White Canyon Uranium was originally a partly-owned subsidiary of Golden State Resources. The initial public offering (IPO) aimed to raise $19.5 million, they did this by issuing 78 million shares priced at $0.25AUD Each.

The capital was to be used to acquire exploration interests and also to fund the exploration of its US based uranium projects. White Canyon Uranium held a substantial amount of land in the uranium rich region of Colorado Plateau province in Utah, in the U.S., it also held the rights to purchase 100% of additional land which contained known uranium deposits.

The IPO opened on the 12th December 2007 and was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange on the 29th January 2008. White Canyon turned out to be reasonably successful and was acquired by Denison Mines Corp in June 2011.

Another company that recently shut it’s doors was I.T educator, Manaccom who went into liquidation and left many students stranded.
